Keep people away from the affected area
If sewage or wastewater is escaping, keep people and animals clear of the affected area and avoid direct contact. Reduce avoidable water use if it is safe to do so, do not remove covers without suitable precautions and tell us immediately if access, traffic or nearby watercourses could affect the response.
Help us assess urgency
Explain whether the system is full, overflowing, backing up or preventing normal use, and whether the issue affects a private home or an operating site. A postcode, contact number, photographs and clear tanker access details allow us to review the request quickly and give an honest indication of availability.
